Elected by the church body, elders provide spiritual oversight for the life and affairs of Forest Hill including how to use resources in alignment to the purpose and vision of the church. They also administer communion, baptism and prayer.
Elected by the church body, deacons provide support, comfort and care to Forest Hill members with particular needs including prayer and hospital visits.
Senior Pastor David Chadwick
A native of North Carolina, Dr. David Chadwick graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill where he played basketball and was a member of the 1969 NCAA Final Four Basketball Team. In addition to his undergraduate degree in Communications, David has a graduate degree in Counseling from the University of Florida plus a Master of Divinity and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Columbia Theological Seminary.
David has been the pastor of Forest Hill Church since 1980 where worship has grown from 180 to more than 6,000 with campuses located in Ballantyne, Fort Mill, South Park and Waxhaw and soon on South Boulevard and in South End/Uptown. In addition, David is an accomplished author and hosts The David Chadwick Show, a local weekly radio program on WBT 1110AM -- intersecting contemporary issues from a faith and values perspective.
David and his wife, Marilynn, have three children, Bethany, David Banner, Michael, son-in-law Ryan, daughter-in-law Jessi and three grandchildren.
