Forest Hill Playschool, the weekly children’s ministry for Forest Hill Church, provides a loving Christian atmosphere focused on individual attention and preparation for Kindergarten. Our Staff ensures that your child spends each day embraced in an inviting, loving and challenging environment. Our mission is to offer the highest quality program where Christ’s love and academics are intertwined. As always, we do this with kindness, gentleness, consistency, safety, and security. The child is first and foremost. Our goal is to develop each child’s gifts according to God’s purpose!
Forest Hill Playschool Educational Focus
The focus of our program is on the individual development of each child. The development will center on the spiritual, physical, social and cognitive abilities that each child brings to school. The curriculum is age appropriate and includes teacher directed and child directed initiatives. Children learn through play and appropriate developmental experiences. There is an emphasis on the development of the five senses by allowing our children the opportunity to explore in many creative ways as they build the foundation for their educational experience to come. Each month the Director meets with age level teams to develop activities and curriculum. Our teacher to student ratio offers individual instructional attention while delivering a quality experience. We augment the experience with activities around learning centers, physical education, music, science, the Bible, and art, striving to build an educational foundation that is both academically preparatory and Christ centered. Computer Lab and Field Trips are offered for 4 year old and TK classes. Occasionally, students need additional assistance, and we offer exceptional assessment access. Our students are precious to us!
Forest Hill Playschool Standards
The Forest Hill Playschool program has been a leader in the Charlotte area for 15 years. We offer classes for ages 1-4, as well as a Transitional Kindergarten program. Our teacher to student ratio is 8 to 1 for our 3s, 4s and TK classes, offering an opportunity for your child to get one-on-one attention and devotion.
Our teacher to student ratio for babes and toddlers is 4 to 1. We retain over 95% of our teachers each year, and over 93% of our students. The facilities at Forest Hill Playschool are new, inviting, and welcoming. We also provide a secure environment through our state-of-the-art check in/check out technology. Each member of our Staff is committed to the safety and educational welfare of each child in our program, both on campus and off campus. Over 1000 students have passed through our halls, and we are blessed to have each one.

Registration Process
Applications are available upon request at sck@foresthill.org. Please come by for a tour and a curriculum overview (by appointment only) during the week, Monday through Thursday.
Registration Dates – February 8 to February 28
February 8 Registration begins for current students/siblings.
February 28 Registration begins for the community.
Registration Fee $95 for Ages 1- 4, $110 for Transitional Kindergarten
The Registration Fee is due with the application and is non-refundable once the student is accepted into the Forest Hill Playschool program. A confirmation notice will be sent to you as soon as the application is processed.
