Purpose + Vision

Our purpose at Forest Hill is to glorify God by making disciples who KNOW Christ, GROW in Christ and GO for Christ.

We work to accomplish this through:

• Authentic worship based on exalting God and presenting His Gospel.
• A desire to really know God through a deeper understanding of His Word.
• Equipping people to learn how to reach friends, family and neighborhoods for Christ.

Our vision is to increase by 5,000 in 5 years, half being new believers as evidenced by baptism.

We work to accomplish this vision by:

• Establishing at least three new campuses in Ballantyne, Fort Mill and in Uptown and/or Matthews/Weddington.
• Continuing to serve homeless children and families in our neighborhoods.
• Renewing our commitment to being the local church, the hope of the world, and supporting and strengthening indigenous churches across the globe.
• Using the i3 evangelism strategy -- Intercede. Invest. Invite. -- to equip people to reach their friends, families, neighbors and those they serve for Christ.

This vision is based on Acts 1:8, "But you will receive the power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere -- in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."
